Ever - thanks for clarifying the previously absurd.
Trent - I do appreciate your topical reply. I like your points but want to disagree with the statement that my friend "is deciding...". Now, I do feel strongly that she has already chosen and already made her decision to stay and stay forever, but your followup comment about vigilence and dedication and the need for working with an awakened healer is another matter entirely. Dedicated, yes she is. Time intensive vigilence.... ? I cant say that was applied. Her schedule was absolutely packed, including the gym, softball, and other athletic breathing related activities. I do realize its a different sort of breathing, but still....

She is out of the ICU for now, so lets see if she'll wake the fuck up sooner than later.

Ken-
Immortality is indeed a choice. The potential to live, forever, in the same physical body is a God-given right to each human being. That being said, along the way, many obstacles in life, in the body and subconscious mind need to be cleared to nurture an immortalists path. The unconscious urge to die and return to "heaven" or "source" is driving 99% of all diseases on the planet. Your friend has chosen immortality and has therefore chosen a path of clearing. This brain problem is one of the problems to be cleared, and your friend is deciding whether to continue down this path, or to "check out" and choose disease. To truly clear one's self of all subconscious and unconscious desires to leave this planet requires a vigilence and a dedication few have the understanding or will power to achieve. I recommend your friend begin to work with an awakened healer who uses conscious connected breathing as a way to clear physical and subconscious blockages. I recommend my website www.trentnelsoninspires.com, or that you research conscious connected breathing using a search engine. This is the only technique I'm aware of, administered by an effectively trained healer, that will support a true immortalist lifestyle, and not just the discussion of such a state of existence. Best of luck with your search.

The topic so far....

My friend had a brain anurysm - she believed she was immortal - what do you think?

(pause of weeks with no comments - probobly folks didn't want to say the wrong thing here)

then

"you're pointing a finger"

"no, I'm asking what you think"

"I think I wish I had asked the question. Its certainly a question"

"do you have an opinion?"

"No, but I like questions."

"Well?"

"I can point you to hydration stimuli on the epidermis"

****continuation****

"So, if she took more baths she wouldn't have gotten a brain anurysm?"

"its a question."

"I'm not sure what you're saying. In mythology, evil things such as witches and Vampires don't like running water, but Venus is born anew each day from the ocean, and naturally there's the fountain of youth stories."

" ha ha - that's what I'm saying."

"no, you're not! You hav'nt actually given an opinion here."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK, now that I've finished that ongoing discussion, I will say this - I don't know if your friend is immortal. I think some people are unique and have the ability to live extended or possibly infinite lives. Having not met your friend, I could'nt say if she is one who can. Her attitude can only help her recovery though.

Whats keeping her from waking? Well, its the anurysm. Her brain suffered trauma. OK, you're looking for somthing else.

Though, our bodies are a manifestation of the spiritual, we are constantly changing - the needs of the soul change. Sometimes we have learned all we need to from our current incarnations and we cast off our bodies - yup - souls are fickle and we die. In order to be immortal, you need to convince your spiritual self that it needs to stay in a unchanging body. Since our spiritual selves thrive on change - that's a tall order. Also, our bodies are not meant to last forever (without some tweaking) - they degrade.

No Mr. Silly Love, I am certainly NOT pointing a finger, and definitely not saying "Ha!"

She is my friend and I am deeply concerned for her.

You do have my perspective right, but her perspective is that people are only immortal so long as they choose it and firmly believe in it, which she does.

Both have room to be correct. I'd love it if her/your tribe's belief were also a trueism. If we are creating our own reality, then the immortal decision seems a possible one.

My question was asking you as a collective group how you all felt about this situation. I thought that, "what do you have to say about this?" was a fairly clear request for your opinions.

If you want to believe unquestioningly that your fate is determined by a belief that there wont be an end so long as you choose for there not to be one, then what do you say when an end or serious life-threatening ailment befalls one of your faithful members?
Can you still maintain a firm belief that there wont be an end for yourself?
Do you make certain assumptions about the victim's beliefs, since this tragedy has struck her down?
Do you believe she should make a complete recovery, & mindstrength shall overcome?

So, you are pointing your finger at someone who defines themselves as an immortalist, who happens to be sick, in effect saying, "ha, see - we are not immortal. Ha!"

My question to you is - what exactly is Your question?

It's interesting... So, from your perspective - everyone gets sick and dies. From her perspective, we're all immortal. Hmmm.......

Which perspective is the correct one, and is it even possible to know one way or the other? Or are they both right.

How much of our own reality do we create ourselves?

Ok immortalists, one of your bretheren - Killagrrrl - has been struck down by a brain anurysm.

She has chosen immortality.
She firmly believes that death is a choice, and she definitively chooses to not go there.
She has believed herself immortal for years, and has such a strong constitution, she was rarely ever known to even get a minor headcold.

Currently she is in the intensive care at SF General Hospital in a coma.

So...

Tell me what the immortalists have to say about this. What is keeping her from waking up? Do you expect a full recovery? I think she would expect it of the rest of you. That is to say, she would expect it as long as you had no doubts about your immortality, and she clearly did not doubt it for a minute.

 Where do your opinions reside?
